What we’re building, for every golfer
Birdie Recon is watching courses now — but nobody is getting alerts yet. What we’re building is recon on municipal golf tee sheets: you’ll tell us the course and the window you’d actually play, and when our recon spots an opening we’ll tell you — you book it, on the course’s own site, at the course’s own price. That will be open to any golfer — veteran, active duty, or civilian. See how the booking window works.
What we aren’t building yet: base and MWR course coverage
We don’t watch any military or MWR golf course today — full stop. It’s a segment we’re genuinely evaluating, because military-affiliated golf is a real, distinct audience with an authentic tie to this brand rather than a keyword we’re chasing. But we’re not going to imply coverage we don’t have in order to rank for a search someone who plays at a base course would actually type. When base-course coverage is real, this page will say so in the present tense. Not before.
Veteran and military verification
Verification isn’t available yet, and there is no veteran or military discount today. What we plan is a veteran and military discount at launch, verified rather than self-attested. We aren’t naming a figure, because none is decided — and we’d rather publish nothing than publish a number somebody would plan around.
On verification itself: we’ve reached out to GovX, our preferred authentication provider, and we’re working through their verification process. That is the whole of it — nothing is agreed, nothing is signed, and we have no date. When any of that changes, this page will say so plainly before anyone is asked to rely on it.
