NYC Parks golf tee times: how the booking window actually works

The nine NYC Parks golf courses don’t post every future tee time at once. They release on a rolling window — a fixed number of days before the date, at a fixed hour — and that window is the whole game.

The courses

NYC Parks golf reservations run through TeeItUp. All nine of the department’s courses book through the same system:

A rolling window, released at midnight

Reservations open a set number of days before the tee date, at midnight Eastern, online only — not at the course, and not by phone at that hour. NYC Parks publishes the current figure on its own booking site, which is where to confirm it before you plan around it.

Why the release hour matters less than you’d think

A rolling window means the best times at the popular courses go in the first few minutes after release. But that isn’t the only chance. NYC Parks’ own cancellation policy lets golfers cancel up to a set period before play — and every one of those cancellations quietly reopens a slot on a sheet everyone else stopped checking days ago. That’s the gap Birdie Recon stands recon on: not the midnight rush, but the Thursday evening when a foursome falls apart.

What it costs to reserve

NYC Parks charges a non-refundable per-player reservation fee on top of the green fee, plus the city’s advance-booking surcharge. Fees change — confirm current amounts on NYC Parks’ own booking site rather than relying on a number here.
